Klaus Gjasulas' late equaliser secured a deserved point for Albania against Croatia in their UEFA EURO 2024 Group B opener on Wednesday.
Croatia had taken the lead through Andrej Kramaric in the 24th minute, but Albania hit back just before half-time through Myrto Uzuni.
The second half was a more even affair, but it was Albania who looked the more likely to score a winner.
They came close on several occasions, but they had to settle for a point in the end.

Albania's late equaliser against Croatia was a hard-fought point, but it also extended their poor record against nations they are facing for the first time.
The Red and Blacks have now won just one of their last 10 matches when facing a new opponent, with their only victory coming against the Faroe Islands in June 2023.
This record will be of concern to Albania head coach Edoardo Reja, as his side still have to face Spain and Italy in Group B.
