HBO Max Sets Giselle Itié As Lead Of Brazilian Series 'Segundas Intenções'
HBO Max has actually set Giselle Itié to star as the lead of the Brazilian series "Segundas Intenções," an adaptation of the telenovela of the same name.
The 10-episode series will be directed by Joana Mariani ("Alice Júnior") and produced by Boutique Filmes. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2023.
The series will follow the story of Vitória, a young woman who is determined to avenge the death of her sister, Laura. Vitória believes that Laura was murdered by her boyfriend, Leo, and she sets out to prove his guilt. As Vitória investigates Laura's death, she uncovers a web of secrets and lies that lead her to question everything she thought she knew about her sister.
Itié is a Brazilian actress who has starred in a number of films and television series, including "The Great Mystical Circus" and "The Ten Commandments." She is also known for her role as Bruna Surfistinha in the 2011 film of the same name.
"Segundas Intenções" is the latest in a number of Brazilian series that have been adapted for HBO Max. Other recent adaptations include "Destino: São Paulo" and "Todxs Nós." HBO Max is investing heavily in Brazilian content as it looks to expand its reach in the country.
